Customer Service Associate
This position is the first contact at the Merage JCC for all guests and members. This is a part-time job paying $10/hour with a complimentary membership to use the JCC Fitness Facilities.
- We have one job available working at our Front Desk Monday-Thursday’s from 4:30-10pm.

We have another job available working at our Front Desk Saturday and Sunday’s from 7:30am – 4:30pm.
Essential Functions:

Provide excellent customer service to ensure member satisfaction and member appreciation. This includes greeting guests/members at our main entrance upon arrival and departure in the building; ensure every member scans their badge or non-members check-in with security and/or front desk; verifymembershipstatus.

Assist members with questions, programming, POS, events, answering phones, direct foot traffic, etc.

Process Membership Change Forms, Refund Requests and Renewals

Assist financial department with collections and other A/R & A/P duties

Provide tours of the facility to prospective members and provide assistance to membership services in order to retain/acquire members
Education & Experience:
-
College Degree preferred
-
Customer service experience
-
Excellent communication (written, oral and presentation) interpersonal skills
-
High aptitude for telephone reception duties
-
Neat, organized and accurate with clerical work; able to multitask (a must)

Outgoing personality, poised demeanor, professional; comfortable working over the telephone and face to face with a diverse public; able to use common sense when confronted with an assortment of inquiries; works well under pressure.

Familiarity with Windows and fundamentals of computer data entry

Club J Afterschool Counselors
The Merage Jewish Community Center of Orange County’s after school program is looking for counselors. Club J, the after school program provides an enrichment based program for children from a variety of schools. Children come to the JCC when their school day is done for a safe and fun-filled afternoon. We are looking for part-time staff.
Job Requirements:

Have LIVE Scan from the State of California or must obtain prior to start date

CPR/First Aid Certified

Minimum of 16 college credits or completed one semester of college

Experience working with school-aged children

Lifeguard
Lifeguards must ensure a fun, yet safe swimming environment for all users of the facility. This includes patron safety, enforcing the rules, accident prevention, keeping facility clean, and providing excellent customer service. All Certifications must be current: Lifeguarding Certification; CPR for the Professional Rescuer; First Aid/AED Certification.
