Camp Groups

K’Ton Ton “Tiny Tots”
Entering Kindergarten
Start out right! Campers entering Kindergarten will have a “homebase” as they participate in a variety of age-appropriate activities designed to help them make their final transition to Kindergarten

Ruach “Spirit”
Entering 1st Grade
Ruach campers make new friends as they participate in a wide range of activities discovering new experiences, growing and developing their own self-awareness

Chai “Life”
Entering 2nd & 3rd Grades
Chai campers will have fun participating in a wide variety of activities, learning and developing new skills and building self-confidence.

Zahav “Gold”
Entering 4th & 5th Grades
The structure of Zahav meets the ever-changing needs of this energetic age group. Not only will campers participate in regular daily activities, but they will have the freedom to choose a weekly elective.

Sabra “Native Israeli”
Entering 6th-8th Grades
Sabra teens are always on the go! Campers will enjoy three field trips per week, one social action project; promote responsibility, self esteem and role modeling. There is never a dull moment, with the Sabra camp. When Sabra is on the go – they are stopping at restaurants, stores and additional activities of their liking to make the camp experience the best and the friendships last far beyond the summer.

CIT: Counselor-In-Training Program
Entering 9th & 10th grades
Camp Haverim’s CIT program is designed for teens who want the experience of being a counselor. The program offers teens leadership skills, training in child development, group dynamics, team building, program planning and the overall insight of being a counselor. CITs have daily hands-on experience of working with senior counselors and children, while learning from our professional staff. CITs will have one overnight experience each session. 60 hours of community service will be awarded for completion of the Counselor-In-Training program. Interviews are required with each participant prior to the start of camp.

Madrichim
Entering 10th & 11th grades
For those who have successfully completed Camp Haverim’s CIT program. Madrichim work directly with the camp staff to learn the skills needed to become a senior counselor. Madrichim will have continued training sessions with lead camp staff. Participants will have one overnight experience each session. 90 hours of community service will be awarded upon completion of the Madrichim program. Interviews are required with each participant prior to the start of camp.
