Jewish Sports Hall of Fame Accepting Scholar-Athlete Nominations : The Orange County Jewish Sports Hall of Fame is seeking nominations for a male and a female high school student as its Scholar Athletes of the Year. Any Jewish scholar-athlete who lives in Orange County and is a junior or senior in high school is eligible. Nominees will be judged on academic and athletic achievements as well as his or her commitment to community service. Six boys and six girls will be selected as finalists and the winners of the award will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the “Dinner of Champions” on January 27, 2008.

Finalists will be selected by a committee and each finalist will be asked to provide his or her most recent report card to verify his or her cumulative GPA and to provide evidence of selected claims in the nomination. The Hall of Fame committee re-serves the right to disqualify any finalist who exaggerates any claim of accomplishment. All nominations must be submitted by December 15, 2007.
