Summer  European Art Vacation

Four-part lecture series: Tuesdays, July 21 – August 11, 7:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.

Presented by John Paul Thornton on Zoom

Experience art treasures of southern France, the Danube, Italy, Holland, and more, all while enjoying the comfort and safety of home. Join dynamic speaker John Paul Thornton each week as he presents a virtual vacation, exploring vibrant paintings, sculptures, historic cities, and inspiring stories.

John Paul Thornton is an award-winning artist, educator, and speaker. He has taught at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Skirball Cultural Center, California State University of Los Angeles, Pierce College, American Jewish University, the Los Angeles Unified School District Conservatory of the Arts, and the Sophia School of Painting in Tokyo, Japan. He has traveled extensively worldwide studying art.

He also served as Art Education Coordinator with the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs working on projects with MOCA, the Getty Research Institute, and International exchanges with Taxco, Mexico. John Paul’s paintings are in numerous private collections.
