Because of the COVID pandemic the American economy is in recession and possibly headed for a depression. This four-part lecture series will examine the causes of the Great Depression that started in 1929, how people managed to survive throughout the 1930s, and how FDR’s New Deal policies sought to bring about relief, reform and recovery.
