JStage is a critically acclaimed, award-winning theatre, and a proud member of the Orange County Theatre Guild. All JStage shows are professionally directed, and feature professional, lighting, sound, costume, hair, makeup, and scenic design. Performances will take place in the 488 seat Isidore C. & Penny W. Myers Theatre at the Merage JCC in Irvine.
You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown is a volunteer, non-Equity, community production. No participation fees are required.
AUDITIONS
Sunday, December 7, from 5 - 10 P.M.
Walk-ins will be seen as time permits, but appointments are strongly encouraged.

Please fill out the audition paperwork available for download at the bottom of the page. All paperwork (audition form and conflict calendar) must be submitted to [email protected] no later than 5 P.M. on Saturday, December 6.
Audition Instructions
Prepare 16 - 32 bars of a song of your choice in the style of the show. Our accompanist will not be available for this audition. Please bring a device to play an accompaniment track cued to your audition cut (a Bluetooth speaker will be provided). You may sing from the show.

VIDEO AUDITIONS

REHEARSALS
Mandatory read-through / company meeting Wednesday, December 17, from 7 - 10 P.M.
Music rehearsals will be called December 18, 20, 21, 22, and 23, and on selected days January 6 - 15, based on actor availability
Regular rehearsals run January 20 - March 19, 2026
Sundays from 4 - 10 P.M.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 7 - 10 P.M.
Not all cast members will be called to every rehearsal. Detailed call sheets will be provided in advance, created based on actor availability provided at auditions. Please refer to the conflict calendar for more information. Actors under the age of 14 will be released by 8:30 PM on most days.

Seeking a high-energy ensemble of versatile actor-singers with strong comedic instincts and excellent physical storytelling abilities:
CHARLIE BROWN
Actor age 18+ to play a male-identifying, elementary-aged child. Excellent actor and singer, and a capable mover. A lovable underdog who is plagued by his own insecurities, yet eternally optimistic.
LUCY VAN PELT
Actor age 18+ to play a female-identifying, elementary-aged child. Excellent actor and character singer, and a capable mover. A force to be reckoned with, Lucy is loud, bossy, and hilariously self-centered.
LINUS VAN PELT
Actor age 18+ to play a male-identifying, elementary-aged child. Excellent actor and singer, and a capable dancer. Tap and ballroom skills are a huge plus. Lucy’s younger brother is a sweet, introspective philosopher who has an unshakable bond with his beloved blanket.
SCHROEDER
Actor age 18+ to play a male-identifying, elementary-aged child. Excellent actor and singer with soulful vocal capabilities, and a capable mover. A piano prodigy who walks a fine line between coolly indifferent and hilariously obsessive.
SALLY BROWN
Actor age 18+ to play a female-identifying, elementary-aged child. Excellent actor and singer with a strong soprano extension, and a capable mover. Must jump rope. Naive, sweet, cynical, and blunt in equal measure, Sally’s innocent charm is balanced with quirky, philosophical soapbox rants showcasing her often unconventional and unpopular opinions.
SNOOPY
Actor age 18+ of any gender identity to play Charlie Brown’s imaginative, rebellious, and lovable beagle. Excellent actor and singer, and a strong mover. Soft-shoe, tap, and physical comedy is a huge plus.
WOODSTOCK
Adult or youth actor age 11+ of any gender identity to play Snoopy’s mischievous side kick. Excellent character actor with strong vocal and movement skills. Physical comedy and dance are a huge plus.
ADULT ENSEMBLE
Actors ages 18+ with strong acting, vocal, and movement skills to portray a variety of characters in the Peanuts universe, and be featured in large group scenes and musical numbers.
WOODSTOCK’S FRIENDS
Actors ages 9 - 14 with strong acting, vocal, and movement skills to play Woodstock’s mischievous bird friends.
Performers of all ethnicities, cultural, religious, and gender identities, as well as performers with disabilities, are strongly encouraged to audition for all roles. All roles are available!
