February 19, 2019 –The Merage Jewish Community Center’s stalwarts of social action, JCC Cares, will host its 8th annual It’s All About You event, providing a day of indulgence to the clients of five of Orange County’s critical support nonprofits. Last year, 100 women indulged in the festive day and this year more than 150 guests are expected to be pampered with homemade lunches, new hairstyles, clothes, manicures, skin care and, for many, a boost of self-confidence.

“That’s why we do it. The confidence that you see building throughout the day, and the sense of sisterly support amidst volunteers and guests, makes it all worth it,” explains, Caryn Altman, who, along with friend and fellow volunteer, Julie Sherman, have been leading the event for its eight years. “That and I love to shop, eat, and do good!”

Over 60 volunteers from area health and beauty businesses will provide professional outfits, free haircuts and styles, manicures, massages, and facials.

When larger space was needed to accommodate the growing number of guests, Sisters of St. Joseph’s convent in Orange offered space. Guests will join the from: WisePlace
