Open Play

What is Open Play?

Open Play is a flexible pickleball time where players of all skill levels can come to play and practice in a non-competitive, casual environment. There’s no need to sign up in advance—just come by and join in!

Do I need to bring my own equipment?

While you’re welcome to bring your own paddles and balls, we also have equipment available for use on-site. Just ask at the front desk.

Are there any fees for participating in Open Play?

Open Play is included with your JCCOC membership.

Can I reserve a court for Open Play?

Courts for Open Play are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you’re planning to come with a group, we recommend arriving early to secure your spot. Rotational guidelines are provided down in the gymnasium near courts 3 & 4

 

Classes

What types of pickleball classes are offered?

We offer a variety of Liveball Classes for intermediate, and advanced skill levels. Classes focus on technique, strategy, and game play.

How long are the classes?

Classes are typically 1.5 hours long and run for 4 weeks. Each session includes both instructional and practice time.

How do I register for a class?

You can register for classes online through our website or by visiting the front desk at the JCCOC. Be sure to register early, as classes can fill up quickly.

What is the cost of a class?

Each 4-week class is $120.00. This fee covers all 4 sessions.

What should I bring to class?

Please bring a pickleball paddle, appropriate athletic wear, and a water bottle. We provide pickleballs and other necessary equipment.

What if I miss a class?

If you miss a class, we cannot guarantee a makeup session. However, we encourage you to attend Open Play or other classes to keep up with practice.

 

Lessons

What types of pickleball lessons are available?

We offer private, semi-private, and group lessons. Private lessons are tailored to individual needs, while semi-private lessons are for small groups. Group lessons are designed for a larger group with similar skill levels.

How long are the lessons?

Lessons can be booked in 30-minute or 60-minute sessions. You can choose the duration that best fits your schedule and goals.

Can I cancel or reschedule a lesson?

Yes, you can cancel or reschedule a lesson with at least 24 hours' notice. Please note that a cancellation fee may apply if less than 24 hours' notice is given.

What should I bring to a lesson?

Bring your pickleball paddle, appropriate athletic wear, and a water bottle. We provide pickleballs for use during the lesson.
