Meet Our Team


Lisa Monette, M.Ed.

Director, Eric & Sheila Samson Family Early Childhood Learning Center

Together with her staff, Lisa designs, implements, and oversees the Eric & Sheila Samson Family Early Childhood Center programming, which includes the Aronoff Preschool, Parenting Center, Camp Yeladim, and Library. She holds a BA in Psychology from UC San Diego, and an MA in Education from San Diego State University. She has over 20 years of professional experience in the field of education. Lisa lives in Orange County with her husband Marc and their three boys, Simon, Nathan and Sam.


Jamie Fitzhugh

Assistant Director, Early Childhood Learning

As a member of the Eric & Sheila Samson Family Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) management team, Jamie is the “glue” that holds the ECLC together, meeting the needs of parents, teachers and children. She is an Orange County native and has taken continuing education coursework at Saddleback Community College. She and her family lead an active outdoor lifestyle and are especially fond of our local beaches.


Ally Johnson, BA

Assistant Director of the Aronoff Preschool, Director of Camp Yeladim

Ally works closely with administrative leaders, teachers and parents to develop curriculum and teaching practices that reflect our school’s Reggio inspired philosophy and Jewish values.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies, as well as a multi-subject teaching credential from the state of California. Ally completed her education at California State University, Fullerton and has over sixteen years of teaching experience in various age groups.  In her spare time, Ally enjoys going on road trips to national parks with her husband.


Sheila Dalva-Hornback, BS

Admissions Director

Sheila is responsible for introducing the community and new families to the Aronoff Preschool, sharing the many elements of that make the school -- and our students -- creative, nurturing, and keen thinkers.

Sheila has a Bachelors degree in Business from University of Phoenix and an extensive customer service and sales background. When she is not showing off the preschool, Sheila enjoys family time, cooking, hiking, swimming, camping and an occasional lazy day!


Melissa Coronado

Administrative Assistant

Melissa has over 17 years of experience working in office administration. She has worked as a land record analyst, land tech, and receptionist.  Most of her experience she gained while working for large oil corporations and land management companies.  She completed her education at San Jacinto Junior College.  Melissa is the proud mom of three kids.  She is enjoying her time here in Orange County after living in Texas for many years.  In her spare time Melissa loves spending time with her family, taking trips to the beach and going on hikes.
