Debbie Meline, MA

Department: Center for Jewish Life
Title: Director of Jewish Education

Debbie moved from her home town of Hollywood, Florida to Orange County to fill a newly-created position at the Merage JCC.  Her job is to ensure that all of our donors feel appreciated and engaged in the success of the JCC, and to show how financial support of our JCC impacts both individual Jewish lives and the wider Jewish community.  Debbie has over 30 years of professional experience in the Jewish world, including eight years in the Jerusalem office of the JCC Association.

Debbie earned her bachelor’s degree in International Relations at Tufts University and her master’s degree in Jewish Communal Service from Brandeis University.  She lived in Jerusalem for 12 years before returning to Florida in 1998.  Her favorite topics of conversation (besides talking about her young adult children, Yaniv and Meital) are Israel, Jewish education,  and Jewish traditions -- and she looks for every opportunity to speak Hebrew!
