In commemoration of October 7th, communities across North America are hosting events to gather, mourn, pray and remember. At the Merage JCC, we invite you to join us for a special memorial ceremony, where we will stand together in unity to honor the victims, support the survivors, hold the hostages in our thoughts and prayers and reaffirm our community’s strength and commitment to Israel. Through this gathering, we aim to provide solace, solidarity, and strength to all those who continue to feel the weight of these tragedies.
At the heart of the ceremony, the Keshet Chaim Dance Ensemble will perform a series of specially choreographed dances. These performances are designed to take us on an emotional journey—from tribute and prayer to a place of resilience and hope. Through the beauty of movement, Keshet Chaim will embody the spirit of our shared grief and our unwavering strength as a community.
We believe in the power of coming together during times of sorrow, and we welcome all members of our community to participate in this meaningful event. Let us gather as one, to honor the memory of those lost, stand in solidarity with survivors, and find strength in each other.
Together, we will remember. Together, we will heal.
Please note: the evening will include difficult readings and videos that may be upsetting for some people. Parents and guardians, please consider if appropriate for your family.
