Prepare 16 bars (30 seconds-1 minute) of a song of your choice to sing with a backing track, or you may sing from a selection of sides that will be made available to all registered participants beginning the first week of July.  No participation fees are required, and all roles are available!

Male identifying, playing age early-late 20's. A well-meaning, genuine, and insecure clerk of a failing flower shop, Seymour is head over heels in love with Audrey. Often taken advantage of and overlooked, he gets his first taste of fame and success when he unwittingly becomes the owner and enabler of a murderous plant. Rock styletenor with strong movement skills.

 

Female identifying, playing age 25-45. Sweet, vulnerable, misguided, and as lacking in education as self-esteem, Audrey has a heart of gold, and dreams of settling down someday with a family outside of Skid Row. She is in a relationship with the abusive Orin Scrivello. Audrey is Seymour's co-worker, and the secret love of his life. Mezzo-soprano with a contemporary mix/belt and strong movement skills. 

Mr. Mushnik
Male identifying, playing age 40-65. Seymour and Audrey's boss is the jaded owner of a failing Skid Row flower shop. He is profit-driven, greedy, and manipulative. Confident singer with good movement skills.

Orin Scrivello
Male identifying, playing age 30-50. An egomaniacal dentist with gleefully sadistic tendencies and a twisted passion for his own nitrous oxide, Orin is Audrey's abusive boyfriend. Strong baritone with good movement skills.

Audrey II
Male identifying, playing age 30-50. A manipulative, street-smart villain with a comic flair, this notorious plant has an insatiable appetite for human flesh. Strong R&B style baritone/bass, no movement required.

Crystal, Ronette, and Chiffon 
Female identifying, playing age teens-early 20's. Smart and sassy, these Skid Row street urchins often break the fourth wall to provide a running commentary on the action with hip, doo-wop style narrative. Excellent singers with strong, contemporary mix/belt capabilities who blend well together and are capable of holding tight harmonies. Must have good movement skills.

Residents of and visitors to Skid Row, including Patrick Martin, Bernstein, and Mrs. Luce. Seeking all character types and vocal ranges.
