This book tells the true story of Fritz Oppenheimer, a wealthy German Jewish lawyer and World War I veteran who fled Nazi Germany, joined the U.S. Army in his 40s, and played a crucial role in the denazification of Germany after the war. His work included helping to establish a fair justice system and interrogating top Nazi leaders.
