The Weekly Pickleball Clinic is designed for players looking to continue improving their skills through structured instruction, drills, and guided play. Each week will focus on key components of the game, including serving, return of serve dinking, volleys, 3rd shot drops and drives, court positioning, shot selection, and partner communication. This clinic provides a fun and supportive environment for players to build confidence, improve consistency, and develop a better understanding of how to play in live game situations. Participants will receive coaching feedback throughout each class while working on both technique and pickleball IQ.
Serve Consistency & Placement
Players will focus on building a reliable serve, improving accuracy, and learning how to use depth and placement to start points with control.
Return of Service & Getting to the Kitchen
Players will work on hitting deep returns, improving footwork after the return, and understanding how to transition quickly and safely to the non-volley zone.
Forehand & Backhand Groundstrokes
This clinic will focus on paddle control, swing mechanics, footwork, and improving consistency from the baseline and transition area.
Dinking Fundamentals
Players will learn how to control the ball at the kitchen line, use soft hands, improve dink placement, and understand the purpose of keeping the ball low.
Cross-Court Dinking & Kitchen
Players will focus on longer dink rallies, cross-court angles, moving with the ball, and learning when to stay patient instead of attacking too early.
Volleys & Paddle Positioning
This clinic will focus on ready position, punch volleys, blocking, reaction time, and keeping the paddle up during faster exchanges at the net.
Resets & Defensive Control
Players will learn how to slow the point down when under pressure, reset hard shots into the kitchen, and regain control during defensive situations.
3rd Shot Shops
Players will focus one of the most important shots in pickleball: the 3rd shot drop. The clinic will cover touch, height, placement, and how to transition forward after the shot.
3rd Shot Drives & Drive-to-Drop Decisions
The clinic will focus on when to drive the ball, when to drop the ball, and how to use the 3rd shot to create better opportunities during a point.
Transition Zone Movement
Players will work on moving from the baseline to the kitchen, stopping under control, hitting balanced shots, and avoiding mistakes in the mid-court transition area.
Shot Selection & Pickleball IQ
This clinic will focus on decision-making during live play, including when to attack, when to reset, when to dink, where to place the ball, and how to play higher-percentage pickleball.
Partner Communication & Doubles Strategy
Players will focus on working better with a partner, court coverage, middle-ball communication, stacking basics if appropriate, and understanding how to move together during doubles play.
