What do I need to pack in my child's backpack?
Each camper should come to camp wearing sneakers and a bathing suit under their clothes. Please send your camper with sunscreen already applied (our counselors will reapply throughout the day).
In their bags they should have:
Electronic devices are not permitted at camp.
Please make sure to label all of your child’s belongings.
Where do I pick up and drop off my camper?
What are camp hours?
Standard camp hours are 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
What if I need to pick up my child early?
There will be no early pick-up from 2:45-3:15 pm.
What if I need to drop my child off late?
Any late campers must check in with security at the front entrance of the JCC after 9:15 am. They will have their temperature checked, and camp staff will walk them to their group.
What if I am running early or late?
We offer pre-care in the morning starting at 7:30 am All campers that arrive before 8:45 am will automatically be enrolled and you will be charged per day as needed. Similarly, all campers who remain at camp past 3:45 pm will be enrolled in post-care for the day and charged accordingly. Pick up for post-care is no later than 6:00 pm.

What if my child gets sick at camp?
All camp staff are CPR and first aid certified. Should your child need minor medical attention (cuts, headache, TLC, etc.) our counselors will attend to your child and send home in their bag a note letting you know that they visited the camp office and what specifically was done (extra popsicle, band-aid, etc.) Should your child become sick at camp (fever, vomiting, etc.) we will first try to contact the parents to come to pick up the camper. If we are not able to reach a parent, we will then contact the emergency numbers.
How do I get my child's medication to camp?
Our office manager is available pre-camp to collect medication. Pharmacy labels are required on all prescription medications and non-prescription medications need to be in their original containers with the camper’s name clearly written on them. You need to fill out our medication release form, which gives us accurate directions for dispensing and written consent from a doctor allowing our counselors to dispense the medication to your child.
What are the lunch choices for my child?
Kosher lunch is offered each day. They can be pre-purchased or purchased the day of as needed. Water and healthy snacks are also provided. We have a different lunch selection each day. Our calendar lists the special of the day and pizza, tuna sandwich, and bagel options are also available each day.
What if my child has food allergies?
Please note that we are a peanut and nut-aware facility. As each food allergy is unique and requires different solutions, please contact the camp office at 949-435-3400 x268 to discuss your individual child.
What if my child's birthday is during camp?
You are welcome to send in a snack or cupcakes for your child’s birthday. Please call the camp office and speak with your child’s unit head so they can expect the snack and set up a time for your child’s group to enjoy them. All snacks sent to camp must be both nut-free and kosher.
