Ofri Bergel is a ShinShinit from Israel. ShinShinim are Israeli high school graduates who postpone their military service for a year to volunteer and contribute to Jewish communities around the world.

Ofri grew up in Moshav Ein Yahav in the Arava, a small community in southern Israel, in a large and close-knit family. She has volunteered in her community for five years and has been a youth movement counselor for three years, working with children and youth of all ages.

As a ShinShinit, Ofri came to Orange County to contribute to the community and experience Jewish life outside of Israel. She is excited to meet new people, get involved, and share her experiences and perspective as a young Israeli.
