As Financial Controller at the Merage JCC, Oscar leads the organization’s financial operations with a focus on accuracy, accountability, and strategic impact. He oversees financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls, ensuring strong financial discipline while supporting long-term sustainability.

Oscar brings over a decade of experience in finance and accounting, including more than seven years in the nonprofit sector. He has progressed from hands-on accounting roles to leading financial operations, giving him a well-rounded perspective on both execution and strategy. Prior to his work in the nonprofit space, he built a strong foundation in corporate finance within a law firm environment, where he managed billing, collections, and financial reporting. This experience continues to shape his disciplined approach to cash flow management and operational efficiency.

At the JCC, Oscar has played a key role in strengthening financial processes, improving reporting accuracy, and enhancing internal controls. He partners closely with executive leadership and department directors to provide clear financial insight, support decision-making, and identify opportunities to improve performance across the organization. His work is focused on streamlining operations, leveraging technology, and driving greater financial visibility.

Outside of work, Oscar is a devoted father to his two sons, Noah and Aiden. He enjoys staying active, spending time with family, exploring new experiences, and riding his motorcycle. Born in Usulután, El Salvador, he immigrated to the United States at a young age and is proud to call Orange County home.
